Sunday School Anglican Church Hamilton meets during the Sunday 9:30 am service. The children who wish to participate in the service leave during the 1st Bible reading and may return in time for the Peace greeting. Kids may be involved with the service, such as helping with the collection.
Together, the children and the leader, (Dawn) explore the Bible with the aid of iPads, puzzles, colouring and discussion so we can learn more, and use our lessons in everyday life through God’s word. As an example:
“Have you ever sulked?”
Well, Jonah sulked outside Nineveh after he felt foolish when God forgave the city, rather than destroying it. Was it ok to sulk?
All are welcome to come and participate. We thank every one of the children who comes, and every parent who makes this possible each week.
We recognise that in today’s busy world, many people find it difficult to commit to weekly church attendance. Kid’s Church provides a way for families to connect with St Augustine’s in a variety of different ways. Once a month we have a family oriented service that includes a children’s talk and activity. On the alternate fortnight we meet at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon for a time of play and a short lesson and activity. Further details and a calendar of events are available from the Office, or talk with the Rev'd Marian Free for more information.
Our Easter Children’s celebration is great fun as is our Christmas Eve family service. Do not hesitate to give us a call. Our get togethers are very rewarding.
